Johnny Depp‘s high-profile legal battle with his ex, Amber Heard, was one of the most talked-about film-related stories of the decade. Directed by Marc Webb, who himself is looking for somewhat of a comeback following the disaster that was the live-action Snow White remake in 2025, Day Drinker has now adopted a release date once held for Mel Gibson‘s The Resurrection of the Christ: Part One, on March 26, 2027. Gibson’s biblical return has now been postponed to May 6, 2027. But the character comeback many are waiting for is in Depp’s most iconic role: Captain Jack Sparrow, in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
