Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World has become one of the most popular isekai anime series in recent years, earning a devoted fan base thanks to its emotional storytelling and world-building. The series follows Subaru Natsuki, a teenager who is suddenly transported to a fantasy world. After a chance encounter with Emilia, a kind-hearted half-elf who saves him from a group of thugs, the two are brutally murdered, only for Subaru to wake up hours earlier, realizing he has the ability to rewind time upon his death. Determined to help Emilia become the next ruler of the Kingdom of Lugunica, Subaru uses this power to protect her, even as the toll of this curse-like ability begins to weigh heavily on him.
In the highly awaited Season 4, we are reunited with Subaru and his companions after they survive the brutal conflict in Priestella’s Watergate City, but the cost of victory proves devastating. Rem remains in a deep sleep due to the Authority of Gluttony, Crusch has lost her memories, and Julius has been stripped of his name. Desperate for answers, Subaru learns of the legendary Sage, Shaula, said to possess infinite knowledge and foresight. Now, their journey will take them to the Pleiades Watchtower, a mysterious structure at the edge of the world overlooking the deadly Augria Sand Dunes. Facing unforgiving terrain and deadly witchbeasts, Subaru and his allies set out on a quest to reclaim everything they’ve lost.
‘Dorohedoro’ Season 2
Episodes 8-11
Release Date: April 1, 2026 | Studio: MAPPA | Streamer: Crunchyroll
Cast: Wataru Takagi, Yuu Kobayashi, Reina Kondou, Yoshimasa Hosoya, Miyu Tomita, Kenyuu Horiuchi, Kengo Takanashi.
Dorohedoro is finally back for its long-awaited second season, returning viewers to the chaotic world of the Hole. This crumbling district is a place where violence is part of everyday life, the strong dominate the weak, and survival rarely comes without a price. Morality is practically nonexistent here, turning the Hole into a playground for magic users, who routinely cross over from their own world to experiment on its helpless residents.
At the center of the story is Caiman, a mysterious figure with the head of a reptile and no memory of who he once was. Rather than hiding from danger, he actively hunts down magic users, convinced that they hold the key to restoring his identity and uncovering what was done to him. With his trusty bayonets and an unusual immunity to magic, Caiman proves to be far more dangerous than his enemies expect.
‘Witch Hat Atelier’
Episodes 6-9
Release Date: April 6 | Studio: Bug Films | Streamer: Crunchyroll
Cast: Rena Motomura, Natsuki Hanae, Hibiku Yamamura, Kurumi Haruki.
Probably the most anticipated anime of the year, Witch Hat Atelier introduces the audience to a world where magic is something ordinary people are never meant to touch, but a little girl named Coco can’t help but be drawn to it. Raised by her mother, a humble dressmaker, she’s spent years admiring witches from afar. Everything changes when she crosses paths with Qifrey, a traveling witch whose magic she witnesses up close for the first time. In the process, Coco discovers the book she’s treasured for years isn’t just a collection of drawings, but a guide to casting spells.
Unable to resist, she tries it for herself with disastrous consequences. When her actions lead to a life-altering accident, Qifrey steps in to contain the damage. Seeing both her potential and the danger she now faces, he offers Coco a chance to train under him. Thrown into a hidden world she once only dreamed about, Coco begins studying magic alongside other apprentices, slowly learning that it is far more complex and dangerous than she ever imagined.
‘ONE PIECE’ Elbaph Arc
Episodes 1160-1164
Release Date: April 5 | Studio: Toei Animation | Streamer: Crunchyroll
Cast: Mayumi Tanaka, Kazuya Nakai, Hiroaki Hirata, Yuriko Yamaguchi, Ikue Ootani.
One Piece is back, and this time, the scale is (literally) bigger than ever. Fresh off their intense escape from the futuristic Egghead Island, Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat crew are already charging toward their next legendary destination, Elbaph, the long-mythologized home of the giants.
Elbaph has been teased for years and holds profound significance within the world of One Piece. With the promise of discovery, danger, and the ever-present dream of finding the titular treasure, this new One Piece arc sets the stage for one of the most exciting chapters yet.
‘My Hero Academia: More’
Release Date: May 2 | Studio: Toho Animation | Streamer: Crunchyroll
Cast: Daiki Yamashita, Nobuhiko Okamoto, Ayane Sakura, Yûki Kaji.
It may not be a full-on series, but leaving anything My Hero Academia off this list would feel like a crime. For many fans, it wasn’t just another anime; it was the gateway into the medium, eventually earning its place as one of the most beloved modern series. Now that the main story has officially come to an end, the world it built isn’t disappearing just yet. While spin-offs like My Hero Academia: Vigilantes continue to expand the universe, My Hero Academia: More offers a final, heartfelt return to the characters fans have grown up with.
Rather than launching a new storyline, this special acts as a standalone epilogue, adapting the final chapter of the original manga. Through More, audiences are given a glimpse into what lies ahead for the heroes of U.A. High, revisiting familiar faces one last time and seeing how their journeys have shaped their futures eight years after the finale. For longtime fans, it’s a chance to say goodbye properly and celebrate a series that left a lasting mark on the anime world.
‘Devil May Cry’ Season 2
Release Date: May 12 | Studio: Studio Mir | Streamer: Netflix
Cast: Johnny Yong Bosch, Scout Taylor-Compton, Hoon Lee.
Based on the beloved Devil May Cry game series by Capcom, Devil May Cry brought its signature demon-slaying chaos to the screen in Season 1. The series follows Dante, a sharp-tongued mercenary with a shadowy past who takes on supernatural threats for a living. Set in a world where demons exist just beneath the surface, the show fully embraces the franchise’s DNA, mixing explosive action, gothic style, and irreverent humor while also expanding Dante’s story in ways that welcome new audiences.
With its slick animation, fast-paced fight sequences, and a tone that balances over-the-top spectacle with quieter character moments, Season 1 proved to be a satisfying adaptation for both longtime fans and newcomers. Now, Season 2 raises the stakes as the lines between worlds begin to blur, and Dante is forced to confront not only powerful enemies but also his own past as he is set to clash with his estranged twin brother, Vergil.
