8 Upcoming Millie Bobby Brown Movies And TV Shows, Ranked By Anticipation

[

Millie Bobby Brown is one of the most recognizable stars in the world today, with plenty of exciting upcoming projects in the works. Although most recognize Brown as Eleven from Stranger Things, she’s steadily built a portfolio that includes film franchises like Enola Holmes, delved into dark fantasy with Damsel, and even collaborated with the Russo Brothers on The Electric State.

As a young star in her early 20s, audiences have watched Brown grow up and are excited to see what kind of actress she’ll become as she continues to broaden her horizons with a variety of future projects. Having carved out a strong working relationship with Netflix, she’s sticking with the streamer for most of her upcoming work, although some releases are certainly more anticipated than others.

Whether it’s seeing Brown’s own writing adapted for the screen, the continuation of well-loved franchises, or even watching her step into the world of rom-coms, Brown has an exciting slate of highly anticipated upcoming releases. However, several of these projects have been in pre-production for quite a while, and although they sound promising, they risk succumbing to the pitfalls of development hell.

What’s most exciting about Brown’s upcoming work is that it’s hard to tell what will flop and what could become the next Stranger Things, as she appears to be taking chances to give herself the best shot at landing the next big hit. There are several movies and TV series on the horizon for Brown, but we’ll just have to wait and see what the future holds for this young star.

Dark Park

Dark Park is a haunted amusement park horror set to star Millie Bobby Brown and potentially directed by Attack the Block filmmaker Joe Cornish. According to Hollywood insider Jeff Sneider (via JoBlo), Dark Parkis about a group of young people who dare to enter a haunted amusement park, where each ride could very well be their last” and is being developed by Netflix.

As a rumored production, Dark Park is far from confirmed, with Sneider stating he is 75% sure of Cornish’s involvement and just 50% sure of Brown’s. This makes it more difficult to build up anticipation for Dark Park, as viewers will have to wait until there’s more solid confirmation. But, looking at Cornish’s track record for exciting genre fare, he and Brown could be a match made in heaven.

Millie Bobby Brown is set to star and executive produce Prism, a new series currently in development at Netflix. With Shameless staff writer Etan Frankel touted as showrunner (via Deadline), details on release date and production are few and far between. However, we do know Brown will play Cassie, a woman with the unique ability to communicate with apparitions.

Cassie attempts to uncover the truth behind mysterious ghosts who have populated the earth. This is Brown’s second collaboration with AGBO after The Electric State and continues her ongoing association with Netflix. Prism is currently in development, but has yet to get the official go-ahead for a series order.

A Time Lost

A Time Lost is a potential upcoming Netflix film based on an original show story from Millie Bobby Brown and her sister Paige Brown. No actors have been announced for the project (via Deadline), but it tells the story of a long-standing feud between two Long Island families that comes to a head when one of their teenage daughters is diagnosed with cancer.

Brown said that she has spent years writing and developing this story and described it as “a labor of love” about “friendship, family and overcoming obstacles when it feels like the world is pushing you down.” This project was first announced in 2019, with little news about it since.

Millie Bobby Brown’s debut novel, Nineteen Steps, was released in 2023. Described as an “epic story of love, loss and secrets” based on her own family history and her grandma’s experiences in the 1943 Bethnal Green tube disaster, the fact that it was ghostwritten by author Kathleen McGurl drew some criticism. However, this controversy did not stand in the way of her landing a major director for the adaptation, with Tom Hooper (via Deadline) set to helm the film version.

There are plenty of big names involved with Nineteen Steps, as Bohemian Rhapsody and The Theory of Everything screenwriter Anthony McCarten is adapting the script. Brown is set to produce. Cast details still need to be announced, but one can easily imagine Brown taking up the lead role of Nellie Morris, the 18-year-old protagonist facing bombings and rationing during the Second World War who finds romance with an American airman.

The Girls I’ve Been

Tess Sharpe’s novel The Girls I’ve Been is a twist-filled thriller about a con artist named Nora who uses her powers of persuasion to get herself and others free during a hostage situation at a bank. With Millie Bobby Brown set to star, this Netflix adaptation could turn a popular book into a hit film if it is done right.

Brown will star alongside Ozark’s Jason Bateman, with the pair both producing through their respective companies. Brown will also produce through her PCMA Productions, while Bateman will produce through his Aggregate Films banner.

Enola Holmes 4

Outside of Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown has found the largest success with the Enola Holmes series. Starring the teenage sister of the already-famous Victorian-era detective Sherlock Holmes, the series offers a fun twist on a well-worn genre and is adapted from Nancy Springer’s The Enola Holmes Mysteries book series, which acted as a mishmash of themes and ideas first conceived by Arthur Conan Doyle.

Brown brought a breath of fresh air to Baker Street, and the Enola Holmes series became a trilogy in 2026 with the release of the third installment. The series has consistently received good reviews and plays to Brown’s strengths as an actress. While a fourth installment in the Enola Holmes series has yet to be confirmed, there’s a good chance we haven’t seen the last of this teenage detective.

Stranger Things stars Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour will reunite for an untitled spy series from Adolescence co-creator and Enola Holmes writer Jack Thorne. As a father-daughter espionage thriller, the pair will continue the parental dynamic audiences have become accustomed to in a highly anticipated series that’s sure to pique viewers’ interest.

While it still doesn’t have a title, Deadline revealed that Harbour will play the disgraced FBI agent turned security expert Matt Wolfe, who is drawn back into the world he left behind by his daughter Rebecca, played by Brown. As a young FBI agent determined to follow in her father’s footsteps, Matt must track her down when she mysteriously goes missing.

Just Picture It

The love story between Eleven and Mike was a major reason audiences connected with Stranger Things, and it seems Millie Bobby Brown will finally get an opportunity to fully show off her rom-com chops with Just Picture It. Starring Brown alongside The Fabelmans’ star Gabriel LaBelle, this Netflix comedy tells the story of two college students whose phones start glitching and show them pictures of themselves happily married in 10 years’ time.

Coming from Celeste and Jesse Forever director Lee Toland Krieger, this college rom-com blends classic comedy with a hint of sci-fi and has an eye-catching concept that’s sure to draw viewers in. Although there’s no official release date yet, Millie Bobby Brown and LaBelle have already wrapped filming, and fans are now just eagerly awaiting its appearance on Netflix.
