Part of Yamaha’s 40-year milestone in India
The 10-Year Total Warranty includes a 2-Year Standard Warranty and an additional 8-Year Extended Warranty. It applies to engine and electrical parts, including the Fuel Injection (Fi) system. This move is part of Yamaha’s premium brand strategy and aims to offer long-term value and dependability to customers.
Warranty coverage spans scooters and motorcycles
Under the new initiative, Yamaha’s hybrid scooters — Ray ZR Fi and Fascino 125 Fi — and the Aerox 155 Version S will get coverage up to 1,00,000 km. The made-in-India motorcycle range, which includes the FZ Series, R15, and MT-15, will be covered for up to 1,25,000 km.
Free for now, nominal cost later
Customers buying new Yamaha two-wheelers during the launch phase will get the extended warranty at no extra cost. “This initiative reflects the brand’s confidence in product quality and commitment to long-term ownership value.” After the initial period, the extended warranty will be offered for a nominal fee.
Fully transferable, adds resale value
The Total Warranty is transferable to subsequent owners. Yamaha said this feature helps enhance resale value and highlights the durability of its vehicles. “It is not just a warranty but a reflection of Yamaha’s strong focus on building lasting relationships with its customers and offering a consistent, premium ownership experience through quality products.”
Supports long-term ownership goals
According to Yamaha, the new warranty program will help reduce overall ownership costs and improve service value. “Yamaha’s 10-Year Total Warranty addresses these expectations by reducing overall ownership costs, improving service value, and supporting a worry-free riding experience over an extended period.”
Reinforces Yamaha’s legacy in India
Celebrating 40 years in India, Yamaha said the warranty program is part of its broader plan to stay committed to Indian customers. “This new warranty offering reinforces that legacy, reaffirming Yamaha’s promise of providing not just aspirational two-wheelers but also sustained support and value over the long term.”(Inputs from ANI)
