U.S. stocks higher at close of trade; Dow Jones Industrial Average up 0.01% By Investing.com

Investing.com – U.S. stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The worst performers of the session were Salesforce Inc (NYSE:), which fell 2.25% or 6.28 points to trade at 272.29 at the close. Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:) declined 1.82% or 2.73 points to end at 146.97 and Unitedhealth Group (NYSE:) was down 1.68% or 8.66 points to 508.17.

The top performers on the S&P 500 were Deckers Outdoor Corporation (NYSE:) which rose 14.18% to 1,032.90, First Solar Inc (NASDAQ:) which was up 10.78% to settle at 276.74 and Ross Stores Inc (NASDAQ:) which gained 7.79% to close at 142.13.

The worst performers were Intuit Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 8.35% to 606.99 in late trade, Dayforce Inc (NYSE:) which lost 7.60% to settle at 56.18 and Elevance Health Inc (NYSE:) which was down 4.18% to 521.22 at the close.

The top performers on the NASDAQ Composite were Innovative Eyewear Inc (NASDAQ:) which rose 428.49% to 0.98, Akanda Corp (NASDAQ:) which was up 71.97% to settle at 4.11 and Onemednet Corp (NASDAQ:) which gained 56.46% to close at 2.30.

The worst performers were Verastem Inc (NASDAQ:) which was down 66.17% to 4.12 in late trade, Sensei Biotherapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:) which lost 45.89% to settle at 0.79 and Genelux Corp (NASDAQ:) which was down 43.04% to 2.62 at the close.
