The Explorer 500 v2 becomes the first power station in its class to feature a LiFePO₄ battery with 6,000 charge cycles to 70% capacity, while most others typically offer around 4,000 cycles.
This upgraded battery incorporates innovative multi-scale micro-nano structured ceramic membrane technology, combining asymmetric 3D through-pores with heat-resistant coatings and built-in safety materials.
The advanced design enhances ion transport at low temperatures down to -20°C, improves durability, and boosts safety through multiple protection mechanisms. Zirconia nanoparticles prevent internal short circuits and thermal runaway, while phase-change microcapsules automatically seal pores at high temperatures (150°C), stopping heat transfer for enhanced protection.
The practical implications are considerable – over 6,000 charge cycles support up to 30 years of reliable use, while extreme temperature resilience ensures consistent performance in harsh climates from -20°C to 45°C.

Charging performance receives a substantial upgrade in the Explorer 500 v2 as well. The unit can be fully charged in 80 minutes via AC power, with 0-80% charging completed in just 52 minutes.
Combined AC and DC hybrid charging reduces full charging time to 60 minutes, while solar panel charging through the compatible SolarSaga 100W panel takes 200 minutes. These specs represent approximately 7.5 times faster charging than the original Explorer 500. Not too shabby.
Built with Jackery’s exclusive ultra-low self-discharge technology, the Explorer 500 v2 also maintains over 95% of its charge when fully charged and stored, with power loss remaining under 5% after six months. This ensures the unit remains ready when needed, addressing the common frustration of finding there’s no power left when you need it the most.
The versatile port configuration includes one USB-A port, two USB-C ports (PD 100W and 30W), and two AC outlets, enabling simultaneous charging of multiple devices across different power requirements. Built-in surge protection also handles up to 3,000V, delivering up to 1,000 joules of surge energy protection against lightning strikes and voltage fluctuations from multi-device usage.
AI-powered ChargeShield 2.0™ technology provides comprehensive safety monitoring through 62 protection mechanisms, including 12-layer BMS algorithms and four levels of physical protection. This system delivers full-spectrum safety for worry-free charging across all operating conditions.
