Tineco’s new wet-dry vac has a built-in squeegee so your floors won’t end up slippery

    • Tineco Floor One S9 Scientist is a new wet-dry vacuum
    • Magnetic flap at front of floorhead acts as a squeegee to remove excess water
    • Also has a cool retro-style pixel display

I saw a number of wet-and-dry vacuums at IFA 2025, but one that stood out from a design perspective is Tineco’s new Floor One S9 Scientist.

We’re fans of this range – another Tineco model sits in the #1 spot in our roundup of the best wet and dry vacuums on the market – and this new addition boasts a particularly cool design and some very useful features.

The floorhead has a flap that runs along the front edge. It contains magnets that mean when it’s pushed forward, it lifts up to allow any debris to feed into the roller. When the machine is pulled backwards, it descends and acts as a squeegee, wiping away excess water – Tinesco’s line is that it leaves surfaces ‘barefoot-ready’ almost immediately after cleaning. It’s a simple but very clever addition, ensuring your hard floor gets a thorough clean without ending up too wet or slippery.

For tough or dried-on stains you can also activate the ‘HydroBurst’ function, where the S9 will shoot a high-pressure jet of water from the front of the floorhead onto the problem area, ready to be rollered over and squeegee’d away.
