Today’s best EufyCam C35 deals
Some home security cameras will show you live video on your phone for free, but require a monthly subscription plan if you want to review past events later on. The EufyCam CS5 is different, saving your recordings to an SD card rather than storing them in the cloud. Each camera will hold an SD card up to 256GB in size, and you can fit a 1TB card inside the Eufy HomeBase Mini hub included with the CS5 starter kit.
The CS5 also gives you a package of other advanced features that other security companies would usually lock behind a paywall. For example, you can get instant alerts on your phone when the camera’s AI-enhanced software detects people, vehicles, and pets within activity zones – and it can even identify specific faces so you know exactly who’s arrived.
Other features include time-lapse recording, so you can easily track activity over the course of the whole day; color and infra-red night vision; and lights and alarms that can be triggered automatically to warn off intruders.
The EufyCam CS5 is designed to be used indoors or outside, and can be mounted using screws or a magnetic mount, strapped around a post or tree, or simply placed on a flat surface. It’s IP67 rated for protection against water and dirt, and can even be attached to a solar panel (sold separately) to extend its battery life.
