Forget Apple AirTags – Motorola and Xiaomi are rumored to be launching Android equivalents soon

The Find Hub that Google has developed to keep tabs on your devices has improved a lot in recent years, and it looks as though Android users will soon get a couple of new trackers to attach to belongings they don’t want to lose.

First up, tipster Repeater 002 has taken to Chinese social media site Weibo (via Notebookcheck) to predict that we’ll soon get a Xiaomi Tag device alongside a new watch and new wireless earbuds from the company.

We don’t get much more information here, but the tracker is expected to support the superior and more precise ultra wide-band technology, and could arrive alongside the Xiaomi 17 Ultra phone on Friday, December 26.

Moto Tag: according to the folks over at Android Headlines, who have managed to grab a marketing image of the Moto Tag 2, this updated device locator is now on the way.

Like the Xiaomi equivalent, it’s likely to come with UWB support, and beige and orange options are going to be available going by the leaked picture. Improved precision and button tactility are expected, as well as an IP67 waterproof rating.

The Moto Tag 2 might also match the Xiaomi Tag in launching alongside a phone. That phone would be the rumored Motorola Moto G Stylus 2026, also shown off by Android Headlines, and expected in April, May, or June of next year.

If you want to track your possessions via Google’s Find Hub then, you should have some appealing new options to choose from in the next few months. Pricing is to be confirmed, but the Moto Tag retails for around $40 / £30 / AU$55.
