The cast and showrunner of The Testaments react to the surprising appearance of a major Handmaid’s Tale star in the three-part premiere.
In an interview with EW, showrunner Bruce Miller said that the character of June still “had work to do,” which led to the spinoff’s producers and writers bringing back original star Elisabeth Moss.
Lucy Halliday, who plays Daisy on The Testaments, added that Moss is the “embodiment of The Handmaid’s Tale, so getting to share the screen with her is a privilege. I was acutely aware of that.”
