Kyle Hawley has been named the President of 26 Keys, the Austin-based production and creative outfit she co-founded with her husband, the writer-director Noah Hawley.

In her new post, Kyle will now oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, in addition to focusing on the long-term strategy. With today’s announcement, she highlighted the company’s “passion for cinematic, character-driven stories.”

26 Keys most recently released Alien: Earth, the critically acclaimed series based on the classic sci-fi franchise, which is set for a second season at Hulu and FX. The company is also behind the Emmy-winning anthology series Fargo and the FX series Legion.

In addition to Alien: Earth, the upcoming 26 Keys projects include the series Far Cry with Rob Mac and The Witches Of Cambridge, the television series adaptation from the author of the Practical Magic books, Alice Hoffman.

“My focus is to steer our creative vision toward celebrating humanity and inspiring connection through the power of storytelling, expanding the 26 Keys brand into exciting new areas while continuing our core mission of excellence,” said Kyle. “Working alongside Noah, whose auteur voice is the heartbeat of our company, remains a profound inspiration as we push the boundaries of what film and television can achieve. Together, we are committed to nurturing a diverse slate of projects that resonate on a global scale. I look forward to leading our talented team into this next chapter of innovation and growth.”

“Kyle has been the foundation of 26 Keys since its inception, and her transition to President is a natural evolution for the company we built together,” added Noah, co-founder and CEO.  “She is a formidable businesswoman and a brilliant artist in her own right, possessing a creative clarity that has always guided our most ambitious projects and has been instrumental in the growth of 26 Keys. I am thrilled to see her take the lead in expanding our brand into new ventures.  Her leadership ensures that our company will continue to be a home for excellence in storytelling for years to come.”

Kyle, an alum of the ArtCenter who also runs a local letterpress company, is a seventh-generation Texan. 26 Keys relocated to Austin, Texas, in 2024. Noah, along with filmmakers like Richard Linklater, lobbied the state government to increase its incentives to attract more film and television productions to the state.
