PlayStation Makes Hit RPG 100% Free Until April 13, No PS Plus Needed

We all love free games in whatever form they happen to come in, whether it’s built into the original launch strategy of the developer and publisher of a game, or via those rare sales that for some reason decide to give us 100% off the recommended retail price.

Steam has become a great place for those, but both PlayStation and Xbox haven’t shied away from hosting similar discounts on their own stores, and it is possible to pick up worthwhile titles without subscribing to PS Plus, Game Pass or another service. Now, one such game has appeared on the store, and if player feedback is anything to go by, then it’s absolutely one you’ll want to take a look at.

As first reported by PushSquare, players can grab themselves a copy of the original Graveyard Keeper to download and add to their collections forever, all at absolutely no cost. Lazy Bear Games have taken the decision to do so as part of the launch strategy for the sequel, which has just been announced and is launching later this year.

The original game proved to be a huge hit for the developer, with its beautiful pixel graphics and satisfying gameplay loop coming in for plenty of compliments from both critics and players alike. As the name suggests, it’s essentially a simulator where you manage a medieval graveyard, with the developer describing the game as follows:

“Graveyard Keeper is the most inaccurate medieval cemetery management sim of all time. Build and manage your own graveyard, and expand into other ventures, while finding shortcuts to cut costs. Use all the resources you can find. After all, this is a game about the spirit of capitalism, and doing whatever it takes to build a thriving business. And it’s also a love story.”

It’s good fun, filled with humor, and totally free, so you really can’t go wrong giving it a download. All of the game’s DLC is available at a big reduction as well (around 80%), so make sure to also pick that up if you’re having a good time.
