April is going to be a frustrating month for action movie fans with a Netflix subscription. The streaming giant has a plethora of great action flicks currently available on its roster in the United States, but this month is going to see an enormous exodus from the lineup, thanks to the removal of one of the genre’s most iconic franchises. In one fell swoop, just a few days from now, Netflix is losing an entire 26-entry film series, leaving the streamer without fiction’s most iconic spy.
As of now, the entire James Bond franchise is streaming on Netflix, as it has been for the last few months. That’s going to change in less than two weeks. Netflix has already marked all April exits under its “Leaving Soon” banner, and fans were probably surprised to see the messaging attach itself to every single 007 film currently on the streamer. What’s even worse is that, while the biggest titles leaving Netflix usually exit at the end of a given month, the Bond films are going to be leaving earlier. All the movies in the saga are exiting on April 20, giving fans just over 10 days to watch them.
James Bond Leaving Netflix
It was honestly a surprise when Netflix revealed that all the Bond films would be added to the service at all, given that the franchise is owned by Amazon MGM. That’s a series that is usually reserved for bolstering the lineup of Amazon’s Prime Video service — one of Netflix’s biggest streaming rivals. As we see now, this was just a very short loan, putting the Bond movies in front of an even bigger streaming audience as Amazon continues developing the next film in the series.
The departure on April 20th will indeed see all 26 Bond movies depart Netflix’s lineup at the same time. That includes the franchise’s most recent film, and Daniel Craig‘s 007 send-off, No Time to Die, as well as iconic hits like Dr. No and Goldeneye.
Here’s the full list of Bond films making their Netflix exit: A View to a Kill, Casino Royale, Diamonds Are Forever, Die Another Day, Dr. No, For Your Eyes Only, From Russia With Love, Goldeneye, Goldfinger, Licence to Kill, Live and Let Die, Moonraker, Never Say Never Again, No Time to Die, Octopussy, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, Spectre, The Living Daylights, The Man With the Golden Gun, The Spy Who Loved Me, The World Is Not Enough, Thunderball, Tomorrow Never Dies, and You Only Live Twice.

Netflix Is Losing Even More Big Movies in April
The loss of the James Bond saga is enormous for Netflix, partly because it is one of the longest running franchises around. 26 movies is a massive number to lose all at once, and that alone would be enough to get frustrated about. Unfortunately, those 007 entries aren’t the only major IP films heading out in the coming weeks.
On April 30, 10 days after the James Bond exodus, Netflix will also be losing the five Mission: Impossible movies currently available on the lineup. The first five films in the franchise are all on the service for the moment, but they will all be exiting at the end of the month. That includes the original Mission: Impossible from 1996, as well as fan-favorite Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.
That same day will see all the Jaws movies leave Netflix’s lineup, along with How to Train Your Dragon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, and Train to Busan. It’s going to be a tough couple of weeks for movie fans on Netflix.
