‘Chili Finger’, With Bryan Cranston & Judy Greer, Gets UK Deal

EXCLUSIVE: Signature Entertainment has acquired UK & Irish rights to Bryan Cranston crime-comedy Chili Finger from Archstone.

The feature stars Judy Greer (13 Going On 30), Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings), Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), and John Goodman (The Big Lebowski).

The dark-comedy follows a small-town lawyer (Greer) who discovers a severed finger in her bowl of chili. She blackmails the fast-food chain in an opportunity to regain control over her mundane life, but when the plutocratic owner sends his dangerous ex-marine friend (Cranston) to investigate, the situation quickly descends into chaos.

Pic is produced by Jo Henriquez (Missing) and Sam Sandweiss (1BR). Written by Stephen Helstad, the feature is directed by Helstad and Edd Benda. The film had its world premiere at SXSW last month.

The deal was negotiated between Signature Entertainment’s Acquisitions & Development Executive Max Hart and Archstone.
