- The Madison season 3 has been confirmed by Paramount+
- The series is Taylor Sheridan’s most-watched debut ever, with nearly one billion minutes viewed for its first full week
- The renewal could mean season 2’s release window is brought forward to late 2026
Just four and a half weeks after it debuted on Paramount+, Taylor Sheridan standalone series The Madison has been renewed for season 3.
The series premiere racked up eight million global views for its premiere episode in its first 10 days on Paramount+, making it Sheridan’s most-watched debut ever — that’s impressive considering that Landman, Yellowstone season 5 part 2 and Marshals: A Yellowstone Story have all dominated the streamer over the last 18 months.

It goes without saying that this is a huge win for fans of the standalone Western series. But what does the news mean for season 2’s possible release date?
The Madison season 3 renewal hints at a late 2026 release window for season 2
Let’s compare The Madison‘s release timeline to Sheridan’s other standalone hit, Landman. Season 1 of Landman was released in November 2024, and the show was officially renewed for a second season in March 2025. By November 2025, we had those episodes, with season 3 renewed halfway through Landman season 2’s airing.
Already, things are moving much more quickly in the case of The Madison. Thanks to star star Ben Schnetzer, we know that season 2 was filmed in conjunction with season 1.
“We shot season 2 already,” he told Woman’s World. “We just wrapped it not long ago, and I’m incredibly excited to share both seasons with an audience. It was a real thrill to be able to come back and revisit these characters and revisit this story, and revisit this beautiful landscape that we filmed in.”
Therefore, it stands to reason that episodes will be ready to go sooner rather than later, and I’d put money on Paramount announcing a late-2026 release date in the not-too-distant future.
The Madison season 3 could then be scheduled for a 2027 release. Production on that series is yet to begin, and details are so far sparse, but we should know more once the ball starts rolling on season 2.
