CBS Sets Live ‘The Price Is Right’ Christmas Special

[

For the first time in its 54-year history on CBS, television’s longest-running game show will air live with The Price Is Right Live, a Christmas primetime special. Additionally, there will be another first when the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards will air on CBS, marking the network’s debut telecast in its nearly 40‑year history.

The Price Is Right and Kids’ Choice Awards are among a string of live specials CBS has lined up for the next several months, including another simulcast of the MTV Video Music Awards and New Year’s Eve: Nashville’s Big Bash coming back. They join previously announced AMAs, Tony Awards and Golden Globes.

Hosted by Drew Carey, with announcer George Gray, the Price Is Right special will provide viewers with “precedented behind-the-scenes access alongside Carey, Gray, the models and production team as they race to keep the show on track-resetting games, transforming the stage and beating the clock,” according to CBS.

Contestants will “Come on down!” to play fan-favorite games Plinko, Cliffhangers and Lucky Seven, before spinning The Big Wheel for a shot at a luxury showcase.

The Price Is Right is produced by Fremantle. John Quinn is executive producer.

The 2026 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards will air live on Saturday, November 14 at 8 pm ET/PT, celebrating fans favorites in film, television, music, sports and more. The special will simulcast live from Los Angeles, on CBS and Nickelodeon.

Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards is produced by Done and Dusted.

MTV Video Music Awards will air live from Los Angeles on CBS and MTV Sept. 27.
