Amazon is no stranger to price cuts on MacBooks, but every now and again, the retailer breaks ranks with a truly good discount. Today, it’s on the slightly older 2025 MacBook Air 13, which you can pick up for £849 (was £999).
This particular deal not only undercuts the latest 2026 model by £150, but it’s for the upgraded 512GB storage variant, meaning you don’t have to settle for a miserly 256GB version that was recently discontinued by the brand. In short, you’re getting a cheap MacBook Air here that’s almost identical to the latest model, albeit with a slightly less powerful and efficient chipset.

Is the MacBook Air a better buy right now?
The MacBook Neo is perfectly capable for everyday tasks and can handle some heavier apps, but it is more aimed at casual use. If you’re dealing with more demanding workloads, the MacBook Air M4 is the better option.
While the Neo’s A18 chip is solid, the Air’s M4 processor offers noticeably more performance headroom and handles multitasking with greater ease. That’s helped by the Air’s standard 16GB of RAM, which is a clear upgrade over the Neo’s 8GB.
You also get a few key hardware perks with the Air, including a faster SSD for quicker load times, a haptic trackpad, and significantly improved speakers. Perhaps most importantly, it features two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, allowing support for dual external 1440p monitors.
