British favorite Tom Hardy is never far from a hit. The acclaimed British actor has been part of some of the best projects of the past decade, including starring as villain John S. Fitzgerald alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in the Academy Award-winning The Revenant, one of the most visually striking films in recent memory from director Alejandro González Iñárritu. Last year, Hardy delivered the arguably underrated Netflix original action thriller, Havoc, which received a mixed critical reception upon release.
However, the film became a streaming hit, with Hardy’s name regularly circling the top of many streaming charts. So popular is the actor that streamers are often acquiring his vast catalog of projects, with one of his best movies about to be available to stream for free. The film in question is Warrior, an acclaimed sports drama from 2011 that stars Hardy as an ex-Marine who fights his demons by training for “Sparta,” the biggest MMA tournament in history. However, tensions rise when his brother, Brendan (Joel Edgerton), also signs up to fight.
Described as “gripping,” “powerful,” and “a brilliant and heartfelt character study brought to life by some strong acting and a rock solid script,” in reviews from the time, Warrior was one of the gems of 2011. However, it faced relative obscurity during its theatrical run, unable to return its reported $25 million budget with a global haul of just $23 million. 15 years later, Hardy’s popularity and a renewed love for the film has helped it become a must-watch once again. Tom Hardy’s Latest Hit Is Returning Soon
Hardy’s latest hit on the small screen arrived later in 2025, with the release of the crime thriller series MobLand, which boasted the directing talent of Guy Ritchie for several episodes. One of the most-watched shows on Paramount+ last year, MobLand featured Hardy alongside an all-star British cast including Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, and Paddy Considine. Recently, it was announced that filming on the second season had officially wrapped, with actor Emmett J. Scanlan describing it as “Season 1 on steroids, “adding, “It was ambitious, fast-moving, but despite being fast-moving, you never felt that you were being rushed.”
