‘Alice And Steve’ Gets Release Date At Hulu

[

Hulu has set June 4 for the premiere of Alice and Steve, its upcoming comedy series starring Jemaine Clement and Nicola Walker, from Baby Reindeer producer Clerkenwell Films.

Created and written by Sophie Goodhart (Sex Education), the six-part series follows Alice (Walker), who is devastated when her best friend Steve (Clement) starts dating her 26-year-old daughter Izzy (Yali Topol Margalith). She’s going to lose her best friend and her daughter in one fell swoop. Alice tries everything she can to end the relationship. Unfortunately for her, Steve’s more than ready for the attack, and what begins as a perfect friendship, devolves into an all-out feud.

A hilarious, messy, and complicated exploration of friendship, love, and revenge, Alice and Steve is described as an anti-romantic comedy (a wrong-com) that asks the question, how far would you go for love – or revenge? Will Alice forgive Steve? Will Steve and Izzy make a relationship work? Amongst all the questions hanging in the balance, one thing is certain; their lives will never be the same again, per Hulu.

Joel Fry (Cruella), and Margalith (The Tattooist of Auschwitz) also star, along with Tyrese Eaton-Dyce, Marcia Warren, Eilidh Fisher and Ebony Aboagye.

Alice and Steve is produced by Fran du Pille and directed by BAFTA-winner Tom Kingsley (Stath Lets Flats). Petra Fried, Andy Baker, and Wim De Greef executive produce for Clerkenwell Films.
