Pokémon Winds & Waves Release Date Massively Narrowed Down In New Leak

Pokémon Winds and Waves, the upcoming Gen 10 games in the mainline series, were only revealed two months ago. That may seem odd, considering how much we’ve heard about it already, but details regarding Gen 10 had leaked months prior, and those leaks just keep on coming. One thing that isn’t so clear is Winds and Waves‘ release date, which has had considerable speculation from fans.

Right now, we know Winds and Waves will be releasing in 2027. That’s the only release detail the reveal trailer on Pokémon Day actually confirmed, although it did show off a number of returning Pokémon and the Gen 10 starters. Now, thanks to popular insider Riddler_Khu, the release date for the Gen 10 games have been narrowed down by quite a bit.

If you’ve been watching Pokémon Winds and Waves news closely, then you’ll know there’s been a lot of educated guesswork surrounding a release date. As multiple fans have noted, most mainline games release in the fall, particularly in November. In fact, prior to the official announcement, rumors stated Winds and Waves were coming out in November 2026, which we now know isn’t true.

So, a November 2027 release date makes sense. Despite all of that, there have also been multiple suggestions by insiders and leakers that an Early 2027 release window is planned for Pokémon Winds and Waves, which Riddler_Khu’s post on X seems to contradict. Given how accurate Ridder_Khu has been before, fans can at least put a bit of authority behind this post, even if it should be taken with a grain of salt, just like any other leak.

According to Riddler_Khu, Pokémon Winds and Waves will release in “late 2027.” That would, of course, put it on par with many games which have released in November. However, Khu also states, “no news this year.” If true, this is sad news for the millions of fans who were hoping for more details regarding the Gen 10 games before the end of 2026.

Based on this — and again, assuming it’s all accurate — it seems like a larger reveal for Winds and Waves should be expected on Pokémon Day in 2027, which will occur on February 27. It makes sense the latest games will be shown off during a Pokémon Presents on that day, allowing for 7–10 months between the broadcast and an actual release date in late 2027.

A number of leaks regarding the Gen 10 games have been confirmed by the announcement trailer alone, and a late 2027 release date feels on-brand. Considering there’s not expected to be any additional Pokémon Winds and Waves news for the rest of the year, it might be a while before we know just how accurate Riddler_Khu’s statements are, althought a lack of news will at least confirm that assessment from the insider.
