CyberGhost hasn’t done much this year, but now it’s brought its prices down to a point we can’t ignore.
Plans currently start from $1.75/month on a two-year plan, with two months extra thrown in. That means for $45.50 you get VPN protection for 26 months — cheaper than Surfshark ($48.06), ExpressVPN ($63.52), and NordVPN ($83.43).
Where CyberGhost could improve is its connections. 7 devices is low before you consider that it’s devices rather than connections. This means if you’ve registered 7 devices to your account, you need to remove one before you can connect a new device, regardless of whether any of the registered devices are using the VPN.
It’s also not stacked with features. While it’s got more settings customization than almost any VPN, for extras such as antivirus you end up needing an add-on that suddenly makes CyberGhost one of the more expensive VPNs out there.
If you’re after a more complete package, a Surfshark One plan is the way to go. It’s normally around $2.19/month (circa $60 upfront), but packs antivirus, identity protection tools, and more into the deal. That said, you won’t get as much freedom to set up the VPN how you want it as you would with CyberGhost.
