With the first part premiering as a TV movie and then the rest as a 2-part miniseries, Fallen is based on the novel trilogy with the same name written by Thomas Sniegoski, a famous novelist, comic-book writer, and pop culture journalist. Fallen is very underrated nowadays, but it should get its flowers. It was well done, and you should give it a chance!Furthermore, a young Paul Wesley (yes, Stefan Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries) plays the main character, Aaron Corbett. On the night he becomes 18, he discovers that he is a Nephilim, a human-angel hybrid with the ability to redeem angels on Earth from their mistakes and send them back to Heaven, where they originally belonged. The movie’s premise is enough to warrant a watch, but it’s also worthwhile for anyone who is a fan of Wesley.

One of the most beloved Tim Burton films, Corpse Bride is a beautiful blend of gut-wrenching storyline and stunning non-stop animation. This movie made an impactful mark on the evolution of the Gothic fantasy genre, which is what Burton is best-known for. This family-friendly horror classic needs to be watched carefully because the story and its characters are very relatable and will make you feel like you are living it all among them.

Corpse Bride follows the dramatic change in the life of a shy, about-to-be-married groom named Victor (Johnny Depp), who gets dragged to the underworld while he was reciting his wedding vows in the forest by a deceased woman named Emily (Helena Bonham Carter). This movie is truly heartbreaking, as you will understand by the end, but it is very well-written and so visually stunning that you will forget the spooky themes in it.

Remember Wizards of Waverly Place, the famous Disney Channel sitcom for young 2000s kids? Well, if you didn’t know by now, they had a movie released in 2009, which became one of the most viewed on Disney Channel. Simply, a classic! It has it all: 3D animation that looks far better than it has any right to, an emotional and coming-of-age story, and a huge love for family.

This movie tells the story of Alex Russo (Selena Gomez), still a wizard-in-training, who fights with her family and accidentally casts a spell during their vacation to the Caribbean, causing her family to slowly forget her. It begins with her parents, and she has to find a way not to let her brothers, Justin Russo (David Henrie) and Max Russo (Jake T. Austin), forget about her within 48 hours. To stop the spell, Justin and Alex venture into an old cavern on the island to find the ancient Stone of Dreams. The show’s fans will surely have already watched it, but this one is a must-watch for any millennial with fond memories of the Disney Channel.

As the sequel to the first movie in the iconic Scooby-Doo franchise, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed is a blend of comedy, supernatural fantasy, and emotion all in one. The cast from the first movie returns in this sequel to go on another action-filled adventure and solve another mystery: Freddie Prince Jr. as Fred Jones, Matthew Lillard as Shaggy Rogers, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Daphne Blake, Linda Cardellini as Velma Dinkley, with Neil Fanning voicing a 3D-animated Scooby-Doo. The cast embodied the classic characters perfectly, becoming undersung icons of an entire generation.

In this movie, the Mystery Gang is invited as special guests to the opening of the Coolsonian Criminology Museum, in which reports and memorabilia from their previous cases are displayed. That night, a mysterious supernatural figure ruins the celebrations, causing mass panic. Afterward, a journalist begins a smear campaign against the gang as they hurry to solve the mystery before it’s too late. This movie is a campy classic of the 2000s; it’s well-written, with comedic one-liners that will keep you laughing non-stop, and the 3D animation is better portrayed than its predecessor.

If you don’t know about this movie, you simply live under a rock. The cult and mania that followed the release of Twilight is something that needs to be added to history books. It launched a new generation of teen-centric cinema and also forged the path to fame for future Batman Robert Pattinson and Oscar nominee Kristen Stewart. Twilight tells the story of Bella Swan (Stewart), as she moves to Forks, Washington (it’s a real town!), with her dad to begin a new life. There, she meets Edward Cullen (Pattinson), but she doesn’t know he is a centuries-old vampire.

What follows is one of the greatest love stories ever made. Upon its release, it was widely acclaimed by fans of the source material, and the second movie of the saga, New Moon, arrived a year later. After that, its other three movies were released chronologically: Eclipse, Breaking Dawn: Part 1, and Breaking Dawn: Part 2. Sure, they have their flaws, and they’re not exactly high-art cinema, but these movies made a mark on the supernatural genre. Today, Twilight is even considered a classic, showing how it has actually aged well compared to how it began.
