Gillian Anderson Curly Hair Transformation at Cannes

The Palme d’Or isn’t the only gold treasure at the Cannes Film Festival this year.

Gillian Anderson debuted a fierce new look, transforming her typically straight golden locks into voluminous curls. 

For the event on May 13, the 57-year-old paired her fresh ‘do with a beaded floral dress from the Miu Miu Spring Summer 2022 Collection at the photocall for Teenage Sex And Death At Camp Miasma.

The Crown alum stars in the upcoming Jane Schoenbrun-directed slasher film alongside Hannah Einbinder. 

Gillian plays Billy, a reclusive actress who played the final girl in a 1980s horror film. Meanwhile, Hannah acts as Kris, a director trying to court the actress back for a reboot—with potentially deadly consequences. 

While the cast have kept details about the film pretty hush, Gillian did reveal that one particularly bloody scene gave her a “panic attack.”

“That blood day was pretty serious,” she told Variety of one particularly gory day on set in a May 13 interview, “just remembering the amount of liquid and how to not drown while shooting the scene… it was a lot!”
