Now, a British story has arrived on the platform that could prove to be the best from across the pond on the streamer in 2026. The series in question is Legends, which made its Netflix premiere on May 7.
The all-star cast includes Tom Burke, Steve Coogan, Tom Hughes, Aml Ameen, Jasmine Blackborow, Hayley Squires, Douglas Hodge, Johnny Harris, and Ghosts‘ Charlotte Ritchie. The Narcos-meets-Peaky Blinderscrime series dramatizes the true story of British undercover Customs investigators, as they go deep into the heart of the drug underworld in the 1990s. The series has scored impressive reviews from critics, earning a near-perfect 96% on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, just 1% shy of the aforementioned Adolescence. Critics have dubbed the show a “glossy, big-budget drama filled with adrenaline” and “a genuinely excellent crime drama that pulls the viewer in,” via various glowing reviews from across the world.

In the U.S., the most-watched show is the true-crime docuseries Worst Ex Ever.
