It seems Harry Potter fans have an awful lot to look forward to over the next few years. The first season of the new HBO series officially premieres on Christmas Day this year, while rumors abound that the sequel to Hogwarts Legacy might actually be much closer than any of us suspected.

Defenders Of Hogwartsis a new multiplayer board game that appears to be based around the climatic battle between Harry and Lord Voldemort at the end of The Deathly Hallows. The game has been designed by MinaLima, the graphic designers of the Harry Potter movie universe, and supports two to five players across games that can take up to 90 minutes.
“Lord Voldemort’s arrival at the castle is imminent,” reads the game’s synopsis. “Prepare for what lies ahead by honing your spell-casting skills, exploring the storied grounds of Hogwarts, and laying the groundwork for a battle between good and evil. But will you do so as a loyal Hogwarts student, or as a member of the Dark Forces, seeking to bring about a new era of darkness? The choice is yours.”
The game will soon be going live on Kickstarter, where you’ll be able to help fund it, if you so choose. The team working on the game are the very same team who designed such iconic props as the Marauder’s Map and Daily Prophet, while the game design is being handled by multi-award-winning industrial designer David Waterman. If you’re a Potter fan, you’ll definitely want to keep your eye on this one.
In other Potter news, a Reddit user recently shared a post via German coverage site PlayFront, which claims Hogwarts Legacy 2 could be revealed at the next PlayStation State of Play that’s scheduled for June 2. Better yet, they claim it could release as early as Spring or Summer of 2027.
“Please let it be true that it is possible to travel from London to Diagon Alley. I really hope the world is divided into smaller maps which you can fast travel to by using flying powder. Just have Hogwarts and its surroundings + Hogsmeade + train station etc, including Ministry of Magic, Diagon Alley, Gringotts as separate maps,” one fan enthused.
