Since its launch back in 2022, Elden Ring has continued to dominate the gaming sphere. Thanks to its Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, roguelike spin-off Elden Ring: Nightreign, a graphic novel series, and even an upcoming live-action movie, it is safe to say that the world is in love with the FromSoftware title, with many calling it the studio’s magnum opus.
It is hard to believe that, despite all this success and critical acclaim, Elden Ring is still yet to celebrate its 5th anniversary, so we can only imagine what FromSoftware has in store for the momentous occasion, but, for now, fans can already look forward to another incredible release arriving later this month.
Launching on 19 June is a brand-new Elden Ring-inspired tabletop game and, most excitingly, it is made by the same creators who made the Dark Souls tabletop RPG, so we know we are in for a treat. Focused specifically on Elden Ring‘s spin-off title, Elden Ring: Nightreign, this brand-new tabletop release titled, Elden Ring Nightreign TRPG, comes courtesy of publisher Group SNE.
Released back in 2025, Elden Ring: Nightreign is a roguelike spin-off, seeing teams come together in PvE combat to fight some of the base game’s most iconic bosses and enemies. Set on an alternative map of Limveld, seasoned players loved FromSoftware’s unique spin on the classic RPG, and here at Screen Rant, we awarded Nightreign a score of 9/10, calling it “a sandbox of joy and doom” in our review.
So, what better world to set a brand-new tabletop RPG in? Well, that is now possible thanks to Elden Ring Nightreign TRPG which launches in mere days. However, as always, there is a catch, and the catch is that Elden Ring Nightreign TRPG is only currently set to launch in Japan, but fear not, as many tabletop RPGs of some of the world’s most popular games have received English localization, although it may take a little bit longer.
If you want to know more, however, Elden Ring Nightreign TRPG will task players to work together in order to conquer the evil that lurks throughout Limveld. In this co-op RPG, you will face off against some of Elden Ring‘s most iconic bosses, as well as playing alongside 1-3 players, much like in Nightreign itself.
With Nightreign encouraging fast and punishing combat, it is difficult to see how this will be portrayed in a pen-and-paper style TTRPG. However, thanks to the incredible world-building created by Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R.R. Martin, the stage is left open to any who wish to adapt the video game into another form of media, filling us with hope for a table-top RPG.
Hopefully, the launch of Elden Ring Nightreign TRPG will go well enough to see it also arrive in the West, but for now, we can only look from afar and cross our fingers that this brand-new Elden Ring release will soon be in our hands.
