Samuel Releases ‘Samuelito,’ Blending Latin, Reggaeton and K-Pop

International artist Samuel has released “Samuelito,” a four-track album merging Latin rhythm, reggaeton energy, and the performance-driven aesthetic he developed during his career in Korea.

Born in Los Angeles to a Mexican family, Samuel established his early artistic foundation in the Korean music industry, where he cultivated a performance style and vocal range across pop and R&B. That dual background sits at the center of “Samuelito,” which places Latin influences at the forefront while routing traditional rhythmic structures through a contemporary, globally oriented sensibility. The hybrid sound is aimed at listeners across multiple international markets.

The album title derives from “Samuelito,” a childhood nickname that has followed the artist through his life. For Samuel, the title signals a return to a more authentic personal identity, translating autobiography into musical form. Drawing on years of stage experience accumulated since childhood, and bringing a more mature artistic perspective to bear, he was actively involved in both songwriting and performance direction across the project. The album is framed as a declaration of self-definition as much as a genre exercise.

The four tracks – “Hola!,” “Zigi-Zigi-Zigi,” “Never Say Goodbye…,” and “Ddook Ddak” – are sequenced as a compact narrative arc, moving from an opening statement through rhythmic momentum, a moment of withdrawal, and finally resolution. A music video accompanies lead track “Zigi-Zigi-Zigi.”

The release comes as Samuel has built a following of more than two million on Instagram. Further activity is expected through the summer as he moves into a new phase of his global career.
