‘Honeymoon With Harry’ Movie Casts Nicky Whelan (EXCLUSIVE)

EXCLUSIVE: Nicky Whelan (Hall Pass) has inked a deal to join Glenn Ficarra and John Requa’s dramedy Honeymoon with Harry, starring Kevin Costner, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Sarah Pidgeon.

Whelan’s role is being kept under wraps. Production took place in her native Australia and has now wrapped.

Based on the bestselling novel by Bart Baker, Honeymoon with Harry follows a rough-around-the-edges man (Gyllenhaal) who ends up sharing an unwanted journey with his fiancée’s prickly, overprotective father (Costner) after a life-altering turn upends their plans. Pidgeon plays the fiancée.

Ficarra and Requa are directing from a script by Dan Fogelman, with Rita Ora, Orville “Shaggy” Burrell, and Simone Kessell rounding out the cast.

Producers include Fogelman, Mike Karz via Gulfstream Pictures and Jennifer Salke via her recently launched Sullivan Street Productions banner.

Up next, Whelan will star opposite James Franco in the road-trip dramedy Love Meets in the Sunshine. Her previous credits include the Farrelly Brothers’ Hall Pass, Terrence Malick’s Knight of Cups, and Scrubs. She is represented by Mollison Keightley Management in Australia and Kimberly Hines in the United States.
