Summer House: Bravo Exec Addresses Future of Season 11 After Amanda Batula, West Wilson Drama

When one Summer House door closes, another one opens.

At least that’s how Hannah Berner views her 2021 firing from the Bravo series five years after departing the reality show.

“It was a matter of, ‘You need everyone to be friends,” the 34-year-old reflected on her season five exit during the June 8 episode of Dax Shepard‘s Armchair Expert podcast. “Not everyone was getting along. It was a choice.”

At the time, Hannah fiercely butted heads with Summer House O.G. Kyle Cooke with the drama spilling over into her other friendships in the house.

“I was gonna be the one kiboshed,” Hannah continued, noting the network’s decision to part ways with her was actually a blessing in disguise. “I just say, getting fired [equals] star power.”

The stand-up comedian continued, “It’s a thin line between love and hate. Getting fired, they were like, ‘You’re too much for reality TV.’ I was like, ‘Iconic.'”

Despite the past drama, Hannah—who joined the show season three alongside BFF Paige DeSorbo—said she “learned so much” from the experience and it even pushed her to take her career to the next level.
