10 MCU Skins We Still Want To See In Marvel Rivals

[

Since its launch in 2024, Marvel Rivals has become one of the most exciting and popular multiplayer superhero games of all time. As a 6v6 hero shooter, the roster of playable heroes and villains continues to grow with each new season, as well as the different costumes and skins available. While some are inspired by the MCU, there are so many more movie skins that could (and should) come to the game in the near future.

As Marvel Studios continues to expand the MCU with major projects like Avengers: Doomsday and Spider-Man: Brand New Day on the horizon, there are plenty of iconic movie costumes waiting to debut in Marvel Rivals, both from upcoming movies and past projects (the recently added black suit for Matt Murdock, inspired by Daredevil: Born Again season 2, is a personal favorite).

From Avengers: Endgame and Infinity War to Age of Ultron and the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, these are the MCU skins I’d love to see added to Marvel Rivals sooner rather than later.

Cyclops — Avengers Doomsday (2026)

As of this last week, Scott Summer aka Cyclops has finally joined Marvel Rivals’ ever-growing roster of playable characters, an effective Duelist hero with an impressive selection of different optic blasts. Keeping that in mind, it’s worth noting that James Marsden is set to reprise his role as Cyclops in Avengers: Doomsday, along with several other actors from Fox’s X-Men universe.

As seen in Doomsday’s X-Men focused teaser, Marsden’s Summers is shown wearing a comic-accurate yellow and blue suit for the first time in live-action, making the costume an obvious candidate for a new Marvel Rivals MCU skin later this year. After all, releasing the skin alongside the upcoming MCU film in December would be a perfect promotional crossover, especially considering Rivals’ ongoing Road to Doomsday events inspired by the MCU itself.

Captain America — Avengers: Endgame (2019)

While Steve Rogers has had several great costumes throughout his MCU career, his culminating suit in Avengers: Endgame is easily one of the best, particularly with the scale armor on the chest ripped straight from the comics.

An MCU skin could feature a shattered shield after it was broken in half by Thanos, as well as an emote featuring Mjolnir inspired by Steve Rogers picking up Thor’s iconic hammer in the Infinity Saga’s final Avengers movie. While Rivals already has a bearded Rogers skin inspired by his look in Avengers: Infinity War with his Wakandan shields, an Endgame variant would be just as iconic. Perhaps we’ll get one once Road to Doomsday reaches its Endgame event?

Spider-Man’s Final Suit — No Way Home/Brand New Day (2026)

The final swing suit from Spider-Man: No Way Home may be the most requested Spider-Man skins in Marvel Rivals. After No Way Home’s emotional ending and the entire world forgetting who Tom Holland’s Peter Parker is, Spider-Man debuts a new comics-accurate red and blue costume seemingly inspired by the Peter variants he just met and teamed up with, played by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. Likewise, trailers for Spider-Man: Brand New Day feature a very similar suit for the MCU’s Webslinger, albeit with some minor aesthetic tweaks.

With Spider-Man: Brand New Day releasing in July, Marvel Rivals could use the film as an opportunity to bring Peter’s newest MCU suit into the game. While Spider-Man already has his Integrated Suit from No Way Home, it would be nice to have a more traditional red-and-blue Spider-Man suit that’s not the default skin (the closest we have is the pixelated 8-Bit/Cosmic Invasion skin).

Deadpool — Deadpool & Wolverine (2024)

Wade Wilson’s Deadpool & Wolverine look absolutely deserves a spot in Marvel Rivals. After all, one of Wolverine’s very first alternate skins at the game’s launch was his costume from the 2024 movie, featuring the iconic yellow-and-blue suit and black cowl, complete with a TVA timedoor emote as well as a unique MVP animation inspired by the movie’s brutal bus sequence. Keeping that in mind, it would be pretty awesome to see Deadpool with his adamantium katanas and golden pistols he stole off Nicepool’s corpse.

Not only was Deadpool & Wolverine one of Marvel’s biggest recent successes, but players would undoubtedly love finally pairing a Deadpool movie suit skin with Wolverine’s.

Peni Parker — Into The Spider-Verse (2018)

Technically not an MCU costume, but it’s simply too good not to include. Peni Parker and SP//dr absolutely need a skin inspired by Sony’s animated Into the Spider-Verse movie. Seeing as how Marvel Rivals is all about multiversal variants and alternate realities just as much as the MCU, it’d be pretty great to see a more anime-inspired look for Peni and her loyal mech as seen in the Spider-Verse movies.

Black Panther — Captain America: Civil War (2016)

Before Black Panther received his own movie, T’Challa made his MCU debut in Captain America: Civil War. To that end, the Black Panther’s first practical suit is still cited as one of his best MCU costumes, even as future iterations incorporated more Wakandan nano-technology and kinetic energy absorption. Seeing as how it was the costume that first introduced T’Challa into the MCU, it’s be pretty cool to see the suit in Marvel Rivals one day.

Gambit — Avengers: Doomsday (2026)

Following Channing Tatum’s long-deserved role as Gambit in Deadpool & Wolverine, it’s been confirmed that Avengers: Doomsday will be giving the fan-favorite mutant another MCU spotlight. As such, a matching MCU skin for Marvel Rivals makes all the sense in the world for one of the game’s best Strategists. Considering how much excitement currently surrounds Marvel’s mutant future, a Doomsday-inspired Gambit skin feels guaranteed to generate some major hype.

Thor — Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

Thor’s Infinity War appearance remains the character’s most iconic MCU look. After losing Mjolnir and his home world in Ragnarok, Thor arrives at Infinity War’s final battle, wielding Stormbreaker with a new armored design and short hair, joined by Rocket and Groot on either side as they landed right in the heart of the Battle of Wakanda, cementing this iteration of Thor in Marvel history (so much so that the look is coming back in Avengers: Doomsday).

While there’s already an MCU skin for Thor inspired by Thor: Love & Thunder, one can imagine that Thor’s Infinity War look is likely on the shortlist for any upcoming MCU skins, representing a period when the God of Thunder was at his most powerful.

Captain America — Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)

While Avengers: Endgame is Steve Rogers’ most definitive costume, I still think his stealthier Winter Soldier suit is his coolest. Favoring a tactical all navy-blue design with a silver shield, it would be so cool to see this costume debut in Marvel Rivals at some point. The suit was also a favorite of Chris Evans, explaining why it was also featured at the beginning of Avengers: Endgame.

The Scarlet Witch — Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

Another great MCU costume that’s absolutely deserving of a Marvel Rivals debut is Wanda Maximoff’s original Age of Ultron look. Before she fully became the Scarlet Witch with the impressive costume to match, Wanda debuted in the MCU wearing a much more grounded street-style outfit with a black dress and red jacket.

Currently, Wanda has two MCU skins, the first being her look inspired by 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and the second the Queen of the Dead variant from Marvel Zombies. Even so, Wanda’s original Age of Ultron look is certainly unique enough to deserve its own Marvel Rivals skin, perhaps when Road to Doomsday launches its event inspired by the second Avengers movie later this summer.
