After 16 years of surviving The Walking Dead franchise, Norman Reedus is joining the land of the living.
On Tuesday, the Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon star bid farewell to his eponymous zombie hunter after putting “so much heart” into the fourth and final season of the AMC spin-off, which recently wrapped.
“Finally going through these photos to check off from the last episode now that I’m back from Mongolia it was really hard to kill any of them,” he captioned behind-the-scenes photos of Season 4. “I didn’t post any of those here, but I can’t wait for people to see this show the crew best I’ve ever worked with the feeling of accomplishment when it was over was just amazing.”
Reedus continued, “Such hard work and so much [heart] put into this I think you’re gonna feel it. It was a special season. I can’t wait for you to see it. It hits just way different this time.”
While teasing Season 4 at New York Comic Con in October, Carol actress Melissa McBride said it’s “going to be even better” than Season 3, as Reedus raved they’re “killing it” on the final season.
