GTA 6 Gameplay Leak Surfaces Ahead Of Trailer 3

[

Without wishing to jinx it for anyone, it does seem as though the release date for Grand Theft Auto VI is locked in at this point. Though there’s still a world where it could be pushed by a week or so for last-minute technical difficulties, the big delays of six months or more are seemingly behind us for good.

As such, we can expect things to start ramping up ahead of its arrival, starting with a third trailer and details around the process for pre-ordering the game. Ahead of that, several very high-profile leaks surrounding the game have resurfaced, and it’s leading fans to speculate on just how far the game has come in the intervening period.

Over on Twitter, the user AlfaGames shared a now-infamous leak from GTA VI where one of our two new protagonists, Lucia, is robbing a diner in true Pulp Fiction style. Now in the first instance, it looks quite a lot like the robbery process in the last game, but there’s no world in which looks anything like that all these years later.

As you might expect, fans were quick to point that out in the responses, with many rightfully expecting major upgrades on the footage they see in the video. “Well, a whole lot [will have changed]. Animations, polish, etc., etc., a whole lot worse than RDR2 itself (of course, no intent to compare as such). Early-Alpha with capital letters,” one comment read.

That said, there were plenty of features in the leaked footage that we haven’t seen in any other GTA game, and that was an extremely encouraging sign for what we might get in the end.

“I love the detail of the timing when the cops arrive, and the whole thing with the full description of the assailants. The ability to loot and pick up the bodies, the money animations, the ability to put zip ties on the hostages, this game is going to blow our minds! Check out the reflections,” another comment added.

In any case, we really don’t have long to wait now to see what Rockstar has been cooking up with GTA VI over all these years. Regardless of how good the final product does end up being, it’s undoubtedly going to be one of the biggest game launches of all time, so let’s just hope they can deliver on expectations, or there may well be some problems in the community pretty quickly indeed.
