The misty moors will be back on the screen — the small screen this time — in a new version of Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen.
Headed to Netflix this fall, the series stars a cast of some familiar and some young up and comers, with some well known creative names attached.

No specific release date has yet been determined, but the window is fall for the arrival of the limited series.

There will be six episodes in the TV adaptation.
Who is in the cast of the Pride & Prejudice show coming to Netflix?
Emma Corrin (Nosferatu, The Crown) will portray Elizabeth Bennet, played by Keira Knightly in the 2005 film directed by Joe Wright. Jack Lowden (Slow Horses, Benediction) will step into the shoes Matthew MacFadyen left behind as Mr. Darcy. Olivia Coleman will portray Mrs. Bennet, previously played by Brenda Blethyn.
Rufus Sewell (The Diplomat, The Holiday) will portray Mr. Bennet, played by Donald Sutherland in the 2005 film. Freya Mavor (Industry) will portray Jane Bennet, and Heartstopper alum Rhea Norwood will play Lydia. Newcomers Hollie Avery and Hopey Parish will play Kitty and Mary, respectively, in their debut roles.
Louis Partridge (Disclaimer, Enola Holmes) will play Mr. Wickham, and Jamie Demetriou (Stath Lets Flats) will play Mr. Collins, previously portrayed by Tom Hollander known for his iconic line about boiled potatoes. Fiona Shaw, who will also appear in the upcoming Focus Features rendition of Sense & Sensibility (2026), as Lady Catherine de Bourg. Daryl McCormack (Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, Bad Sisters) will portray Mr. Bingley, love interest of Jane, and Siena Kelly (Black Mirror) will play his sister Caroline Bingley.
Liz Kingsman will portray Anna De Bourgh, Deadline first reported, and we also broke the news of Jasmine Blackborow’s casting as Charlotte Lucas.
Who else is behind Netflix’s Pride & Prejudice series?
Dolly Alderton, author of Everything I Know About Love and Good Material, wrote the series, and Euros Lyn (Heartstopper) is directing. Lookout Point is the production house, with Lyn, Corrin, Laura Lankester, Will Johnston and Louise Mutter the exec producers. Lisa Osborne produces.

What is Pride & Prejudice about?
Based on Jane Austen’s second novel, the story centers Elizabeth Bennet, the second of five daughters under pressure to marry well or risk losing their charmed lives. Out in society, Elizabeth meets prickly Mr. Darcy, and their love story unfolds alongside her older sister Jane’s with one Mr. Bingley.
