God Of War’s Thor Officially Returns January 2027

[

Despite making an appearance in a secret ending for 2018’s God of War, it was not until God of War: Ragnarök that the Norse god of Thunder, Lightning, Storms, Wrestling, Strength, Consecration, the Sky, and War appeared properly as both an antagonist and Kratos’ sworn enemy.

After watching his family fall apart in front of his eyes, Thor is not the God he once was when he goes head-to-head with Kratos for the first time, and when the two fight in one of the most iconic battles in gaming history, it ends in a stalemate during the beginning events of God of War: Ragnarök. His story does not end there, and makes for one compelling storyline that adds multiple sides to Thor that we have not yet seen in media.

As such, Thor, played by Ryan Hurst, has cemented himself as one of the most iconic antagonists in gaming history, and it is no wonder that fans want to see more of him. Although it is unlikely that he will appear in a potential God of War 6, his popularity continues with an exciting release set to launch in January 2027.

From a collaboration between Prime 1 Studio and Sideshow comes a brand-new addition to the Real Elite Masterline series of collectible statues and this time, it is God of War: Ragnarök’s Thor who is about to be immortalized. The brand-new 1:3 scale statue launches as three different versions: Standard, Deluxe, and Deluxe Bonus and all of which are now available to pre-order here. This is what the official description reads:

This 1/3 scale statue brings to life the essence of Thor—a destroyer burdened by sorrow—through strikingly realistic sculpture. His piercing eyes, the scar trailing under one, and tattoos brimming with mystic power evoke his mythical presence. His bearded face, partially shadowed by disheveled hair, is meticulously crafted to capture a brooding expression. From the bulging torso atop layers of thick muscle to the powerful limbs shaped like tree trunks, every inch is carved with deep-set wrinkles and rugged skin textures that speak of a long and weary path. The leather armor and belts are adorned with traditional patterns, while the weathered metal embellishments have been painstakingly recreated. Even Mjölnir, the symbol of his wrath, combines a brutal silhouette with delicate detailing—a piece of both destruction and mystique.

With only a few more pre-orders left to grab, you do not have long to place your order for the incredible Thor statue, but there is a slight catch in that the regular edition alone will set you back a whopping $1,599.00, with the Deluxe being $1,999.00. This is an eye-watering price, and one that not many of us will be able to justify. However, if you are a keen collector and a very big fan of God of War, then you should definitely go for it.

If you are still unsure, you can check out a video dedicated to the statues here, but there is no denying that this Prime 1 Studio collectible has nailed the look of our favorite Norse God from God of War: Ragnarök.
