Created by Phion Games, Pokémon Nova is an “open-world widescreen fangame set in the Ultra Megalopolis from Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon!” Here, players will be able to explore Ultra Space in an adventure full to the brim with secrets and puzzles, and with an emphasis on exploration. As you become a member of the Ultra Recon Squad, you will have to do whatever it takes to help recover the stolen light from Necrozma.

With 2017’s Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon being enhanced versions of 2016’s Pokémon Sun and Moon, Pokémon Nova serves as yet another enhancement, and it is no wonder that Phion Games used Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon as its base. As part of the seventh generation of Pokémon titles, they were met with a generally positive reception, and even managed to rack up over 9.26 million units sold worldwide.

However, with some criticizing Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon‘s lack of new features compared to Sun and Moon, Pokémon Nova has no such problem, as players can expect to capture and befriend over 1025 Pokémon, explore a vast open-world, enjoy 25+ hours of brand-new content for both main and post-game, and even discover a variety of Mega Evolutions, and that is not to mention the various quality-of-life improvements.

Put simply, Pokémon Nova is the Pokémon game we have all been waiting for, and it is one that we will not have to spend a fortune to be able to play, such is the case with the majority of ROM hacks.
