Nintendo Switch Summer Sale: Discounts on Games, Consoles, and More — 10 Best Deals

[

Nintendo recently kicked off its 2026 summer sale, so I’ve gone out of my way to scrub through the noise and find the absolutely best discounts that you won’t want to miss.

That includes games like Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Tennis Fever, and more, all down to all-time low prices for Switch and Switch 2.

The Best Deals from Nintendo’s Summer Sale 2026

You’ll likely also notice that several of the highlights from this ongoing sale have conveniently passed over from Amazon Prime Day. Most notably, however, is the change that they no longer require a Prime membership – which is great news!

There are still several brand new offers that I want to highlight as well, so I’ll start there and make my way forward. That includes discounts from other US retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, and Woot, alongside several outstanding digital-only offers from Nintendo’s eShop.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

While we saw some sizable discounts on big brother Tears of the Kingdom just a week or so ago, it’s now Breath of the Wild that is in the deal spotlights. Digital copies of the game are going for as cheap as $42 at Amazon and Nintendo – but the real discounts can be found at Amazon’s sister site, Woot.

This is where you can find physical copies of Breath of the Wild down to $35.99, $8 cheaper than buying digitally. For those looking to play on Switch 2 (see our updated BOTW review for the new console here), the upgraded edition is on sale for $49 via Amazon or Nintendo, just like the standard version.

But, while this is still a good deal, our attention is instead turning to the Switch 2 Upgrade Pack, which can be bought seperately for Breath of the Wild. It’s currently down to $7 (30% drop from $10 list price).

BOTW - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Upgrade Pack

BOTW – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Upgrade Pack

You’ll already see where I’m going with this: picking up BOTW at Woot for $36, and combining it with the discounted upgrade pack for $7, means you’re getting the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition for $43 total. That’s $6 less than the current sale price, and a total of $27 off the $70 list price for the game.

This is genuinely the cheapest I’ve ever seen the game, and it’s unheard of for BOTW to drop further than $40, so this is a true bargain.

Quick reminder, however, that if you have the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack, you can actually upgrade your Switch copy to the Switch 2 Edition at no extra cost. So at $36, Breath of the Wild becomes a certified deal no matter which way you look at it.

Nintendo Switch 2 Memory Cards

Samsung 256GB microSD Express Card – Switch 2

As part of Nintendo’s Summer Sale, the price of the officially licensed Samsung microSD Express Card has been knocked down to $39. If you have a Switch 2, then you should consider getting what is arguably console’s best memory card option now before it goes out of stock, as memory card prices have been through the roof lately.

Quite a few games have now been released for the Switch 2 and some of them require an enormous amount of space. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is the most gigabyte-hungry game to date, requiring 90-100GB all by itself. Other plus-sized games include Split Fiction (70GB), Cyberpunk 2077 (60GB), and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment (44GB).

We’d already seen a notable Switch 2 memory card deal during Prime Day, but as that has now expired, this is the new kid on the block. It’s actually $0.99 cheaper than the Prime Day deal as well, so, additional savings!

Nintendo Switch 2 Camera

Does anyone actually use one of these Switch 2 Cameras? Well, probably yeah, but maybe not too many since Amazon has decided to drop the price so dramatically.

Still, if you were eyeing one of these bad boys up since launch, but didn’t like the idea of paying $55, then this should be a lot easier to stomach.

Just to note, you’ll only see the final price of this one once you add it to your cart.

Nintendo Switch 2 Console – Best Deal

Nintendo Switch 2: Choose Your Game Bundle

Nintendo Switch 2: Choose Your Game Bundle

If you haven’t picked up a Switch 2 yet, the “Switch 2: Choose Your Own Game Bundle” remains the best-value console deal of the summer. I’m cheating a little bit here, as this is an ongoing deal, but it remains one of the best, and probably the most affordable, console offer of 2026 so far.

Not only do you get a game included for $499, but it’s also one of the last chances to buy the console before Nintendo’s planned $50 price increase arrives in September. Factoring in the bundled game and upcoming price hike, you’re effectively looking at around $80 in value.

The game you get is a digital download, and you can choose between Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, and Pokémon Pokopia. Click a title to read our review, but no game scored below an 8/10, so they’re all worth picking up.

You just get to choose which one you want to play first. If you want the best bang for your buck, go with Mario Kart World, as that game (in)famously retails for $79.99, while the other two are $69.99.

This is also the first Nintendo system in ages that can play many third-party games in their original state, without significant downgrades. I’m talking games like Cyberpunk 2077, Star Wars Outlaws, and Resident Evil Requiem.

Plus it can play all first-party Nintendo games going forward for years to come, which is the main reason to buy the system in the first place. Check out our Switch 2 review or Star Fox (2026) review for even more info. So if you’re planning to get a Switch 2 in the coming years, I would absolutely buy this bundle ASAP.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond

If you’ve been waiting for the right moment to pick up Samus’s long-awaited return, this is probably it.

While this definitely isn’t as good of a deal as we saw over Prime Day (Nintendo Switch version was down to $29.99, so a $10 Switch 2 upgrade got you the game for $40 instead of $45), it’s still a pretty great deal and the best you can currently find on Metroid Prime 4.

It was previously a Prime exclusive deal as well, but now anyone can access the discount, making this all the more appealing for those who aren’t shelling out cash to Amazon on the reg.

In IGN’s review, Logan Plant awarded Metroid Prime 4: Beyond an 8/10, describing it as “an excellent, if relatively uneven, revival that reaches heights worthy of the Metroid name in its best moments.”

Other critics have been a bit more middling on Beyond. In my experience, the moment to moment gameplay is still outstanding, it just doesn’t do anything to really push the series, quite ironically, beyond that. If you enjoyed the previous Metroid Prime games, or even if this is your first time with the series, I seriously think you’ll have a good time. Just don’t set your expectations too high, like the rest of us did!

Nintendo eShop – Best Digital Deals

Nintendo’s eShop Summer Sale is full of some great digital game deals, with Hades II, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and more.

There’s plenty more to check out in Nintendo’s new sale, though. Check out the full Summer Sale selection here if you’re curious to see what else is available.

Plus, if you’re looking to save just a little bit more on your digital purchases, be sure to check out the 10% discount on $10 Nintendo eShop gift cards right now as well.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this discount, but after disappearing for a while, it’s back again post Prime Day, ready for anyone looking to stock up on eShop credit.

Mario Tennis Fever

Mario Tennis Fever

Mario Tennis Fever

Mario Tennis Fever has been one of the best selling games at Amazon over the past week or so, all thanks to its fresh $20 discount for Switch 2. That brings it down to $49.94, and more importantly, this deal marks its lowest price yet at the retailer.

This is a game we found is great for a group setting. IGN’s Logan Plant reviewed it and said it’s, “the most fun when you’re playing with a few friends. The new Fever Rackets introduce wacky, over-the-top powers that put a different spin on each match and result in a chaotic party game that’s more approachable for newcomers.”

Switch 2 Game Preorders Are Also $10 Off

Most Switch 2 game preorders are also $10 off at Amazon right now as well, which is a mighty good deal whichever way you look at it. That includes Switch Sports Resort, the new Fire Emblem, Splatoon Raiders, and Orbitals. Star Fox was also discounted before it launch, but that ship has now sailed as it’s now back up to full price.

This preorder discount was one of our favorite surprises recently, as it followed the news that Nintendo was changing the pricing between physical and digital Switch 2 games so the former cost more. It’s not the only Switch 2 game to get $10 off, either.

You don’t have to pay for the game until it ships either (per Amazon standard preorder policy), unlike buying digitally, where you have to cough up the cash right away. So, feel free to preorder and lock in that low price, and simply cancel later on if you change your mind.
