Everything Coming to Amazon Prime Video in July 2026

[

Prime Day may have just ended, but if you picked up a 30-day free trial of Prime during the event, you may be looking at what’s coming to Amazon’s streaming service in July. There’s actually a lot of good stuff you’ll be able to watch next month, with a nice mix of classic movies and new originals.

We’ve highlighted some of the best things to watch on Prime Video in July, but if you’re just looking for a detailed list of everything coming to the service, you can jump to the full release schedule by day.

What’s Worth Watching?

Elle Season 1 – July 1

Reese Witherspoon’s Legally Blonde movie is a classic. There’s never a bad time to go back and rewatch the 2001 comedy that became Witherspoon’s major breakthrough. Elle Woods’ rise from stereotypical blonde to successful lawyer is a generation-defining story. With the film celebrating its 25th anniversary this July, Amazon is releasing the first Legally Blonde TV series.

Elle is a prequel series that follows a young Elle Woods during her high school years in Seattle. The main role will be played by newcomer Lexi Minetree, and Amazon has already renewed the series for a second season.

The Ghost in the Shell Season 1 – July 7

The Ghost in the Shell has had quite a few different adaptations, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t deserve to keep getting adapted. Masamune Shirow’s 1989 manga is a beautifully crafted and timeless masterpiece that deserves every bit of attention its gotten over the years. It’s unsurprising that it’s getting a new anime adaptation that actually looks like its going to be really good.

IGN had the chance to watch the first two episodes of the series and gave them a near-perfect 9 out of 10 in our review. Anime expert Rafael Motamayor called it “a vibrant, colorful update to the classic manga.”

The Wild Robot (2024) – July 24

The Wild Robot isn’t a new movie, but it’s one of the best animated family films released in the last few years. Written and directed by Chis Sanders (known for Lilo & Stitch and How to Train Your Dragon), the story follows a lost automaton that adopts an orphaned goose and befriends a fox. It’s got elements of Wall-E and The Iron Giant mixed into an overall thoughtful story all ages can enjoy.

IGN reviewed The Wild Robot back when it first came out and gave it 8 of 10. According to film expert Siddhant Adlakha, the film is a “tear-jerking and unpredictable animated adventure”.

Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2 – July 31

At the very end of month we’re officially getting a second season of Batman: Caped Crusader. All 10 episodes will drop on July 31, almost two years after the first season. For those not familar with Amazon’s Batman series, it’s a resurrection of the original Batman: The Animated Series with some remimagined characters.

IGN reviewed the first season back in 2024 and gave it a solid 7 out of 10, saying it “isn’t Batman: The Animated Series, but it does apply its spirit to a captivating detective story.”
