Unifrance President Gilles Pélisson has been re-elected for a second three-year term.

Pélisson, the former President of French broadcaster TF1, will continue to oversee the French screen agency as it moves into a crucial period.

“I am delighted that the Unifrance Board of Directors has once again placed its trust in me for the next three years,” he said. “Building on the progress we have made together, I am looking ahead to our future – with some certainties but also many unknowns – and am convinced of the validity of our mission to promote French cinema and audiovisual works internationally.”

Pélisson added that Unifrance will “continue to engage internationally through existing events, and to innovate with the constant aim of showcasing the diversity of our productions across all genres and formats.”

He praised the “solid funding system” of Unifrance, which is “thanks in particular to the CNC and the Ministère de l’Europe et des Affaires Etrangères.”

Unifrance is the French screen agency and represents the interests of French cinema and TV both locally and abroad. Recent features include Fruit Gathering and 11, Rue Denver. It hosts the annual Rendez-Vous event in Paris.
