Sword Art Online’s Return Gets Release Date

After years of anticipation, Sword Art Online has finally locked in the release window for its long-awaited return to theaters. The franchise’s brand-new anime film, Sword Art Online: Integral Domain, is officially scheduled to premiere in 2028, marking the series’ first completely original theatrical story since Ordinal Scale. Unlike the recent Sword Art Online Progressive movies, which revisited Aincrad from Asuna’s perspective, Integral Domain moves the timeline forward.
