Steam Drops 4 New Free Games You Can Keep Forever, No Subscription Needed

[

When it comes to free games, very few would say no. After all, you just have to hit the “Add to Library” button to grab them. That’s tempting even if the game doesn’t belong to a genre you like. Anyway, Steam has just listed not one but four free games—and we don’t want you to miss out on any of these gems.

Whether you’re an aRPG fan, a visual novel enthusiast, an open-world explorer, or a puzzle nerd, here are four Steam games that you can spice up your collection with:

  1. WOBBLY HEIST
  2. Rise of Eurevia
  3. One Death at a Time
  4. The Colors of Love – Re-Colored

All of these games are completely free to play, and they don’t contain any microtransactions either. These are PC-exclusive games available via Steam only, so if you’re a console user, it’s time to move on (but there are free games for you too!).

For those wondering what these games bring to the table, I’ve got your back. Let’s begin with WOBBLY HEIST, a wholesome puzzle platformer that has you take control of not one but three capybaras as you infiltrate a fashion event in stealth style. Your goal is to complete puzzles, avoid attracting attention, and eventually steal a legendary jewel and get out of there. Sounds fun? Well, the reviews say the same.

Wobbly Heist

If you’re looking for something in the action-adventure and RPG department, Rise of Eurevia might be right up your alley. It’s a simple fantasy game featuring an open world you can explore through a quest system, distinct class, equipment, and loot systems, and several dungeon boss battles you can take on. While it does need some polishing, for a solo developer game, it’s definitely worth a try.

Rise of Eurevia

I personally love One Death at a Time’s theme. It’s fun, amusing, and perfect for gamers looking for a casual exploration experience. For context, you play as John, who’s going through a mid-life crisis and runs into a suspicious milk carton that grants him a wish in exchange for 14 souls. But as a good soul, John has to instead find 14 ways to die himself in order to fulfill the wish’s requirements. Unique enough? Wait till you uncover the ending.

One Death at a Time

More into visual novels and romance? Don’t miss out on The Colors of Love – Re-Colored. You play as a young man in a state of self-reflection who feels distanced from the people around him. Things start to change when he meets a girl who slowly changes the way he sees himself, his life, and the world around him. The game has an animated Live2D love interest, choices that impact your journey, multiple endings, and several hidden secrets to uncover. There are Steam achievements to collect too, so completionists will have another reason to explore all that the story has to offer.

The colors of love

None of these games are huge releases with hundreds of hours of content, but they do offer some fun experiences for free. So, whether you are bored with the games you play every day, want to freshen up your library, or are just looking to try something new, all four of them are certainly worth a shot to see which one keeps you playing.
