Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Free Download Officially Available For 24 Hours

The release of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is just days away, giving fans the chance to dive back into the world of the fan-favorite 2013 Assassin’s Creed game set during the Golden Age of Piracy. By all accounts, it’s shaping up to be a truly fantastic remake, and one Assassin’s Creed fans probably won’t want to miss.

If you’ve already pre-ordered Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, you can pre-load the game on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC right now so that it’s ready to go on July 9. Regardless of whether you pre-ordered or not, you might also be interested in a cheeky limited-time freebie that you have just 24 hours to grab (at the time of writing).

Ubisoft has officially unveiled a special Twitch drop for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced in the form of the Mermaid Figurehead. This special cosmetic item can be added to your game and attached to your boat, so that all the other pirates out there know you have first-class taste. Also, I’m sure this is just me seeing things that aren’t there, but I could swear the Mermaid Figurehead looks an awful lot like Kassandra from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

How do you claim this freebie? It’s as easy as checking out the participating channels and watching two hours of any of them. I suppose you don’t even really need to be present for the entire two hours. Leave it on and go do something else. I won’t tell. I should note that to obtain the reward, you do first need to connect your Ubisoft account to your Twitch account before watching a stream. Doing that is simple enough, and you can find all the instructions here. Your reward should appear in-game once you boot up on July 9.

You should also be aware that this Twitch drop is only available for the next 24 hours at the time of writing, and expires July 8. However, I’d be amazed if Ubisoft didn’t roll out more special Twitch drops Black Flag Resynced, so don’t be too bummed out if you miss this one.
