‘Lord Of The Flies’ & ‘Narnia’ Star David McKenna Signs With CAA

EXCLUSIVE: David McKenna, one of the breakout stars of Netflix and the BBC’s recent Lord of The Flies drama, is signing with CAA.

The rising Irish actor was cast as Piggy, the emotional core of the series, following a lengthy process involving 7,000 young hopefuls. Jack Thorne’s adaptation of William Golding’s iconic novel marked McKenna’s acting debut and brought with it a string of positive notices.

McKenna was nominated for a Gotham Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series, the youngest actor to be nominated for the honor. Emmy noms arrive tomorrow. Let’s see.

The 13-year old will next be seen in a key role in Greta Gerwig’s anticipated Netflix movie Narnia: The Magicians’s Nephew. According to online reports, the actor will portray the character Digory Kirke, the professor played by Jim Broadbent in 2005 film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. McKenna stars with Meryl Streep, Carey Mulligan, Daniel Craig and more. Netflix will release the film globally on February 12, 2027.
