Cyberpunk 2077 Officially Returning In New July 2026 DLC

[

Just when you thought that the Cyberpunk 2077 universe could not grow anymore, a brand-new release has been announced, bringing some of our favorite characters to the world of another hit game.

This is not the first time that both Cyberpunk 2077 and its accompanying Netflix anime, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, have collaborated with another hit game. After all, V, Johnny Silverhand, and Adam Smasher are now playable characters in Fortnite, and in more recent months, Edgerunners David, Lucy, and Rebecca had their story continued in Wuthering Waves, with many considering it to be the sequel we all deserved.

Since its release back in 2020, Cyberpunk 2077‘s popularity keeps on growing, with a myriad of collaborations and crossovers under its belt, and although many of us thought that the game would fall into radio silence whilst CD Projekt RED works on its highly anticipated sequel, it seems as though that is not the case as the hit RPG is now back in the headlines thanks to yet another collaboration.

Announced just yesterday, CDPR has revealed that the world of Cyberpunk 2077 and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is coming to Apex: Legends. “Ready to burn a city down?” The official blog announcement reads. “Cyberpunk is coming to Apex Legends, bringing a Night City E-District takeover, preem skins, and the return of Skippy.

As such, some of our favorite Apex characters will be receiving skins inspired by Lucy, David, and Rebecca from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, as well as both Female and Male V, Lizzy and Royce. Not only that, but a brand-new map known as the ‘E-District’ will become the latest battlefield as players fight under towering billboards and neon-lights. With two cyberware mods to install, the Sandevistan and Blackwall Breach, you will be able to dominate the enemy in this epic crossover event.

Oh, and a Cyberpunk 2077 fan-favorite is back as Skippy appears in Apex Legends. Available as a Mythic Alternator, Skippy is available in two modes: “Puppy Loving Pacifist” and “Stone Cold Killer” and yes, he will still offer encouraging comments on your gameplay.

Going live on 14 July, there is not long to wait for the Cyberpunk x Apex Legends crossover, and to get you in the mood, an official trailer has been released, and, as you can imagine, fans are feeling the hype and took to the comments to share their thoughts.

“I’m still confused why David, the Latino known for his incredible speed, is not an Octane skin, a Latino known for his incredible speed,” one user pointed out, whilst another added, “Gibby not getting a Jackie skin is criminal.”

However, with another user saying, “Finally. A collaboration that truly deserves to be,” it seems as though this brand-new Apex: Legends event has a lot to prove. Luckily, we do not have long to wait to see our favorite Cyberpunk characters make their way to the beloved battle-royale hero shooter.
