With the launch date for Grand Theft Auto VI steadily creeping closer, it is a bittersweet time for fans. Although there is excitement surrounding the release of the first Grand Theft Auto entry in well over a decade, there is also sadness in remembering that our time with Grand Theft Auto V is almost over, especially its Grand Theft Auto Online title.
Keeping fans occupied since October 2013, Grand Theft Auto Online gave fans somewhere to go once they had finished with GTA V‘s campaign and over the past decade plus, it has managed to maintain a dedicated fanbase thanks to regular official updates and its roleplaying community.
However, with Grand Theft Auto VI expected to launch alongside a brand-new iteration of Grand Theft Auto Online (although when this will be remains to be seen), what is next for the highly anticipated title remains a mystery, but, before then, the GTA Online era as we know it welcomes a new era a lot sooner than we had first thought.
Set to arrive on 14 July, a brand-new release is expected to launch for Grand Theft Auto Online. You and friends will be able to partake in a new heist with the reward being stacks of cash, as well as decorations to style your homes before you pack up and move on this November.
Titled the Kortz Center Heist, this brand-new mission will see you and up to three friends don masks, gather weapons and head to the art museum to make some cash. To begin the heist, players will need to Mr. Faber and Raf De Angelis from their mansions and, in typical heist style, the next few missions will task you with scouting the area, gathering tools and resources, and then finally, making your move.
However, unlike previous GTA Online heists, the Kortz Center Heist will have a unique feature. Players will need to work alongside a forger in order to make counterfeit art for the museum. As you can expect, these counterfeits will replace the real paintings and, at the end of the heist, players will be able to decide whether to hang the real paintings in their mansions or sell them on. Additionally, three new paintings will be available to steal each week.
To catch is that the player starting the brand-new heist will need to own a mansion in GTA Online as well as the new Art Studio expansion. However, if you play with friends, only one of you needs to own a mansion in order to start the quest. That being said, now may be the perfect time to finally splash the cash and purchase your own mansion, as owners who log in before 13 July can bag themselves GTA$1 million discount on the expansion, a free Annihilator Stealth helicopter, a Kortz Center sculpture, and a high-value painting.
So, if you want to make some cash and end your time with Grand Theft Auto Online with a bang, make sure to check out the Kortz Center Heist now.
