Stardew Valley Officially Returns January 2027

Stardew Valley fans have never been more excited with what’s in store, with ConcernedApe hard at work on the major 1.7 update that’s sure to release relatively soon, but also with the developer’s new project, The Haunted Chocolatier in development as well. Both upcoming releases have fans champing at the bit, though the fanbase has proven quite understanding given the solo dev only has limited resources available and still manages to deliver incredible content.

Stardew Valley‘s upcoming 1.7 update is expected to expand the game’s social systems with new marriage candidates, improved spouse interactions, and a significant overhaul to how children function. ConcernedApe has also teased additional secrets, quality-of-life improvements, and other long-requested community features, though a release date has not yet been announced and many details remain under wraps.

That said, there’s a brand-new official Stardew Valley release that fans will definitely not want to miss, and it’s set to launch on January 26, 2027.

Stardew Valley fans are officially getting a brand-new release with The Official Stardew Valley Crochet Book, available to pre-order now via StardewValleyBooks.com and most major retailers. The new book is an official follow-up to the beloved Stardew Valley Cookbook which is available at major retailers now. The Crochet Book is currently listed for around $30.00 USD on sites like Amazon and Barnes & Noble, and is expected to ship at the end of January.

Not only is the Crochet Book made and written in collaboration with developer ConcernedApe, but it comes loaded with original new illustrations, crochet tips, and “headnotes from all your favorite characters.” The new book includes 25 different crochet patterns and 45 unique amigurumi projects, featuring designs for “Junimos, Slimes, Parsnips, Geodes, the legendary Galaxy Sword, and, yes, even a pair of Lucky Purple Shorts!”
