Zelda: Quartet Of Time Announcement Has Gamers Seriously Excited

It is an exciting time for The Legend of Zelda fans, as one of the franchise’s most popular entries, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, is set to finally receive an official next-gen remake later this year. Marking the first official makeover of the 1998 title since The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D was released for the Nintendo 3DS back in 2011, this remake will launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 following years of rumors and speculation.

Announced back in June as part of the most recent Nintendo Direct showcase, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake was showcased thanks to a brief teaser trailer, giving us our first look at the artstyle that Nintendo has opted for for its second remake of the Zelda classic. Other than that, details remain scarce on what fans can expect from the release, alongside an official release date.

In the meantime, however, the hype surrounding The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake is in full swing with news of another upcoming release which fans of the game will not want to miss out on.

From the creators behind Fair Winds & Following Seas, an album that reimagines the soundtrack for The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, comes Quartet of Time. Inspired by the stunning soundtrack of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, this orchestral album arranged for string quartet by Atlys may not yet have an official release date, but will mark the perfect addition to the collection of any Zelda fan.

“The music of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, arranged for string quartet and performed by ATLYS,” the official website synopsis reads. “We’ve been building this quietly for a long time. No dates yet — but you won’t have to wait for the full album to hear the first tracks.” As such, signing up on the website will allow you to hear the tracks before anybody else.

With a brief snippet of some of the music you can expect to find on the Quartet of Time album shared to YouTube, fans were quick to take to the comments to share their thoughts on this stunning accompaniment to the upcoming remake.

“Take all the time you need,” one comment read. “I hope you’re enjoying doing it as much as we’ll enjoy listening to it when it’s done!” Another wrote, “Love new music from you guys anytime!! Looking forward to it!!”

With other comments praising Atlys for its previous renditions of some of The Legend of Zelda’s most iconic soundtracks, it seems as though The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is also in good hands with the launch of Quartet of Time. Now all we can do is hope that we do not have to wait much longer for this stunning release.
