Leaving aside recent controversies around Sony’s attitude to physical media moving forward, PlayStation Plus remains a convenient option for those who call the console their own. Price increases over the last year or so have made it a little harder to justify, but there’s plenty of value to be had in the monthly free offerings.
2025 was arguably the best year in the history of the subscription service to date, but they haven’t really managed to carry that momentum through into this year, and they could do with a really solid month to get things moving again. Now, the final set of options for July have been revealed, and you can be the judge of how stellar an offering it is this time around.
As revealed via the official PlayStation website, the full list of games available at the Extra tier are as follows:
- Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora (PS5)
- Rise of the Ronin (PS5)
- Firefighting Simulator: Ignite (PS5)
- Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind (PS5, PS4)
- Dying Light (PS4)
- Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (PS5)
- Snow Bros. Wonderland (PS5)
While the games available to Premium Subscribers include:
- Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy (PS5)
- Indigo Prophecy (PS5, PS4)
The Essentials games were also revealed a little earlier in the month, and there are some solid options in there for those who only subscribe to the cheaper tier of PS Plus. The full list of those are:
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 – Cross-Gen Bundle
- For the King 2
- CrossCode
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is obviously the heavy AAA hitter of the bunch, and it’s still a really solid franchise entry with plenty of players in the multiplayer lobbies to keep things interesting. Those numbers will only have gone up with its arrival in this month’s selection, so it’s worth trying if you like standard FPS setups.
Meanwhile, For the King 2 is a co-op medieval fantasy adventure that could appeal to those with real friends, and CrossCode takes a retro approach to the action RPG genre that generaly goes down pretty well with those who play it.
Those are all the PS Plus options this time around, but make sure to check back around at the same time next month, to see if Sony manage to serve up more hits for their loyal subscribers.
