Becoming a beloved serialized manga back in 1997 before finally making its way to the world of anime in 1999, One Piece has cemented itself as one of the most popular, and longest running, franchises of all time. Created by Eiichiro Oda, it tells the story of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew known as the Straw Hats. As they hunt for a legendary treasure known only as the “One Piece”, we follow them as they embark on all manner of journeys and adventures in an attempt to become the King of the Pirates.
Now consisting of 115 manga volumes, as well as an anime series that is still airing to this date, it is safe to say that One Piece is here to stay, and that is without getting into the live-action adaptation released by Netflix back in 2023.
However, on top of becoming the best-selling comic book series of all time, One Piece is now back with yet another release which will be a must-buy for fans of the beloved anime and manga franchise.
The One Piece Card Game by Bandai is now available, offering customers access to a premium card collection and, this time, Volume. 6 is up for grabs.
“A collection of cards frequently used in player’s decks released as a Premium Card Collection! Enjoy the ONE PIECE CARD GAME even more by using these cards with new illustrations!” The official item description reads.
Set to launch on 31 July and available for those 6+, the One Piece Card Game will allow you to build your very own trading card game collection by featuring all of One Piece‘s most iconic characters, such as Tama, Sanji, and Nami.
As you can probably guess from this version being Vol. 6, there are previous packs up for grabs and, as such, you will soon be able to build a collection featuring hundreds of cards, offering different variations of the aforementioned characters, abilities, locations, and more. Not only that, but there are official playmats you can also get your hands on, allowing you to battle friends in style.
So, if you are a One Piece fan who, by some miracle, is up-to-date with the manga and anime series, you may want to check out the One Piece Card Game and battle friends with the help of some of your favorite characters. With hundreds of cards up for grabs, and each pack costing around £24.99, it is an affordable hobby, and one that will appeal to One Piece fans of all ages.
