RHOC’s Jeana Keough Not Talking Amid Tongue Cancer Battle, Daughter Says

Jeana Keough is letting her family do the talking these days.

As The Real Housewives of Orange County alum continues treatment for tongue cancer, her daughter Kara Bosworth shared an update on her mom’s recovery, revealing the Bravo star isn’t able to use her words for the time being.

“Right now, Jeana isn’t talking,” Kara wrote on her Instagram Stories July 27. “The tongue and throat pain, paired with the mucus from radiation on the area, is just brutal. Poor mama has to spit into tissues all day.”

Kara first shared Jeana, 70, was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue earlier this month and has since kept fans updated on her mom’s progress as she battles the deadly disease.

“After surgery to remove the cancer, we were hopeful that the hardest part was behind her,” the 37-year-old—mom to kids Decker, 10, Vaughn, 5, Stetson, 2, as well as late son McCoy, with husband Kyle Bosworth—wrote July 23 on a GoFundMe page for her mom. “But when doctors recommended a second surgery to remove lymph nodes, they discovered the cancer had spread. What we thought would be a one-time surgery became a full cancer battle.”
