Justice League: Darkseid Officially Arrives 2027

DC fans spent years hoping to see Superman and the Justice League face off against one of the most powerful threats in comic book history, Darkseid. That payoff finally arrived in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, where Darkseid’s long-awaited live-action debut introduced the franchise’s true overarching villain rather than focusing solely on Steppenwolf’s invasion.

Although his screen time was relatively limited, Ray Porter’s motion-capture performance established Darkseid as the looming mastermind behind Earth’s conquest, while teasing a much larger conflict that was meant to unfold in Snyder’s original multi-film plan. Even years after the release of the Snyder Cut, Darkseid remains one of the franchise’s biggest “what if” characters, with many fans still wondering how the fallen timeline would have concluded.

Despite the DC Universe moving in a new direction, interest in Darkseid has never truly disappeared, and thanks to a brand-new release from PureArts, he’s making an official return in 2027 (via YouTube).

PureArts has officially unveiled a stunning new collectible celebrating one of DC’s most iconic villains, with the Justice League Darkseid 1:1 Scale Art Mask Exclusive Edition scheduled to launch in Q1 2027. Inspired directly by Zack Snyder’s Justice League, the life-size display piece recreates Darkseid’s intimidating on-screen appearance with a hyper-detailed sculpt that emphasizes his stone-like skin, towering facial features, and imposing presence.

The collectible also includes LED light-up eyes, while the display base is modeled after the villain’s battle armor from the film. The Exclusive Edition is limited to just 250 pieces worldwide and comes with interchangeable Omega Flame Eye attachments that simulate Darkseid’s devastating Omega Beams. The mask is a non-wearable display piece measuring approximately 20 inches tall and is priced at $799 USD, with pre-orders already available.

The release serves as a tribute to Darkseid’s memorable live-action debut in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, where Ray Porter portrayed the tyrannical ruler of Apokolips. Although Darkseid appeared only briefly, he was established as the overarching threat behind Steppenwolf’s invasion and was intended to play a much larger role in Snyder’s planned Justice League sequels.
